Gavmild

In just a few years, Gavmild has established itself as a significant player in the Danish insurance market. With more than 600 inbound leads to process every day and ambitious plans for continued growth, operational reliability is essential.

About Gavmild

Gavmild is a Danish insurtech built around a straightforward idea: helping private customers find better insurance at a better price. Rather than chasing cold leads, the company pairs inbound inquiries from interested customers with trained advisors who guide them through the switching process, making every conversation worth having for both parties.

Founded by a group of insurance and fintech veterans, Gavmild has grown quickly and now runs outbound operations from offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus, with an outbound sales team approaching 100 advisors. Scaling at that speed puts real pressure on the infrastructure holding everything together.

Reliability is not a nice-to-have

Amjad Mehdi, CSO & Co-Founder at Gavmild, spent years working in high-volume sales environments before co-founding the company. That experience has given him an unusually clear view of what to look for in an outbound sales platform.

Part of what shaped that view was time spent on SMS alert lists for server outages at previous companies, where a competing solution to Adversus was used. The messages came in regularly, and each one carried the same meaning: somewhere on a sales floor, a team had stopped working. In a business where advisors depend on a live connection to leads all day, a platform going down is never just a technical inconvenience. It means the production line stops, revenue stops, and managers are left looking at a floor full of people with nothing to do.

"When the system goes down, the whole production line stops. You feel completely powerless. I have been there, and I never wanted to build a company on that kind of instability," says Amjad Medhi.

"Since we started using Adversus, we've experienced virtually no downtime on the system. I remember a small outage on the telephone network, but otherwise it has just kept running. That is the kind of thing that creates real value for a business like ours. If our entire production line stops, it is a disaster. In addition, It is a simple, straightforward system with an incredibly easy-to-use and intuitive UI.”

Working in the financial sector adds another dimension to this. Compliance, cooling-off requirements, and consent structures are woven into every workflow, and when the platform is unreliable, those structures start to unravel along with it.

“Security is incredibly important to us, as we operate in a highly regulated industry. I already had direct experience with Adversus from a smaller independent practice, so the decision to choose Adversus came with real confidence”.

""When people ask me what I think about Adversus, my first thought is always operational stability. That is genuinely what does it for us, especially when we are scaling at the speed we are. One of the worst things that can happen is that your dialer becomes a bottleneck. That simply cannot happen"

Getting more out of every lead

Gavmild runs entirely inbound, consent-based leads, with around 600 new ones coming in each day, and not all of them convert in the first round of contact attempts. Building a structured approach to recycling those leads has become one of the more consequential operational decisions the company has made, and the Journeys feature sits at its heart.

"We use Journeys and webhooks a lot. In the system I used previously, it was an add-on, and the complexity was far higher. With Adversus, most people can figure out how to build a Journey, and it makes great sense once they understand the different metrics and methods. It has made it much easier for us to build a whole range of flows that help us get more out of our leads, so we can optimize costs and maximize the potential of our operation."

Last year, Gavmild handled more than 100,000 leads through its setups in Adversus. Lead movement and recycling are managed through a combination of Journeys, extensive API integrations, and Claude Code, allowing the team to build structured flows around a high volume of inbound leads.

“Our new leads convert at around 30 percent. At least 30 to 40 percent of those that do not convert in the first attempt can be recycled and put through a second try by running them through a range of different flows in Journeys." says Amjad

Control from the backend

As the sales team has grown, managing how leads are distributed across the floor has become an increasingly important part of running the operation well. Amjad Mehdi’s introduction to the Strategies feature came through Simon, his Customer Success Manager at Adversus, and the effect was immediate.

"I was a bit frustrated that you could not just call across everything at the same time and mix leads. When Simon showed me Strategies, I was genuinely excited. It was exactly what I needed."

The appeal is practical: being able to shape what agents work from the backend, without having to intervene directly on the floor.

"From a management perspective, you want to be able to steer things the way you know is right for the business, without having to walk over to an agent and say 'hey, call these leads now.' Being able to control and plan your activities from the backend is incredibly powerful, and something we have really benefited from. It gives us excellent control over our leads, which means we get maximum value for money and our ROI stays high." says Amjad

From overview to individual lead in seconds

When Amjadi wants to get a quick glimpse on how a day is going, he opens the Adversus dashboard first. The numbers appear instantly, and from there, the reports feature lets him dig into whatever looks worth a closer look.

"My most visited page in Adversus is the dashboard, because I can get results in front of me instantly. I also use the reports feature a lot to dig into what I see on the dashboard. It is incredibly easy to use, and when you have been in this game for a few years, you know exactly which numbers to look for."

What sets the reports feature apart is how directly a headline number connects to the lead behind it.

"Something I really appreciate is that when I am in Reports and want to know which leads an agent has marked as ‘Not interested’, I can actually click on any lead and get straight to all details. That is genuinely great. No need to copy a number, search for it, and wait. You have all the information you need in front of you." says Amjad.
